1st (known) Warning (1991-2000s)

Warning: On a dark marble background (the same one as the Viva Home Entertainment logo of the time, which follows this), the following warning text scrolls up:

distribution, or exhibition
of the material in this
videotape is strictly
prohibited without prior
written approval and permission
from the

BOARD
in accordance with the law &
its implementing rules and

severe civil and criminal
prosecution, including

the Board.

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Seen on video cassettes of films distributed by Viva Video during this time period.

2nd Warning (1990s-2000s)

Warning: Same as the previous warning, but the background is a dark grey textured one resembling analog television noise, all text is in a slimmer font, the word "videotape" is replaced with "video compact disc", the word "WARNING" is white with a red-purple outline, the "VIDEOGRAM REGULATORY BOARD" text is light yellow with a black outline, and the rest of the text is white with a black outline.

Technique: Same as the previous warning.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on VCDs of films distributed by Viva Video during this time period.

3rd Warning (1990s-2000s)

Warning: On a black background, the heading "WARNING" is seen in a red font, with the letters slightly spaced-out. Below it is the following warning text, in white:

Duplication, reproduction, distribution,
or exhibition of the material in this
video disc is strictly prohibited without prior
written approval and permission
from the
VIDEOGRAM REGULATORY
BOARD

The screen then cuts to the second part of the warning text, while retaining the heading:

In accordance with the law &
its implementing rules and regulations.
Violators are subject to
severe civil and criminal prosecution,
including permanent revocation of
license and regulation with
the Board.

Technique: The first part of the warning text cutting to the second part.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Common. Seen on most VCDs of films and TV shows distributed by Viva Video during this time period, such as Romeo + Juliet (1996). This does not appear on Disney/Buena Vista titles that were distributed by this company.

4th Warning (2008-2014)

Warning: The background is a blurred and extreme close-up of the last frame of the Viva Video logo of the time, with the addition of a compact disc displayed on the upper-left side of the screen (that spins counter-clockwise) and a film reel displayed on the lower-right side of the screen (that spins clockwise). At the top of the screen, the big word "WARNING" is seen in a red font with a white outline. Below it is the following warning text (which quickly wipes in), in white:

This Motion Picture, contained
in this video disc, is protected by
copyright and approved by the
OPTICAL MEDIA BOARD.
Unauthorized duplication, distribution
or public exhibition carries a maximum
penalty of imprisonment for one (1) year
and/or fine of Php100,000.00.
(P.D. 1987)

Technique: The spinning CD and the film reel, and the body text wiping in.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Common. Seen on most VCDs and DVDs released by Viva Video during this time period.

Legacy: This warning still mentions Presidential Decree No. 1987, which has already been repealed by Republic Act No. 9239 for four years at the time of this warning's introduction.
