1st Logo (1987-1989)


Logo: On a dark purple sky, several transparent pieces appear forming a modified version of the Televisa logo that looks like a "U". More shapes with the form of the "U" appear revolving in the the original "U", changing its color to blue. The word "UNIVISION" in gold appear zooming out, to the lower part of the "U".

FX/SFX: The pieces moving, the words.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized majestic tune.

2nd Logo (1989)


Logo: On a blue space with several galaxies and stars, several golden letters appear flipping, forming the word "UNIVISION" ("UNIV" is a bit facing the to the left and "SION" facing to the right).

FX/SFX: The animated background, the letters.

Music/Sounds: A majestic tube with a female choir singing "Univision... Univision... Lo nuestro!".

Availability: Extinct.

3rd Logo (1990-1992)

Nicknames: "Shaped U"

Logo: On a grey background with many dots, 4 shapes (one blue curve, other red curve, other green square, and finally a purple curve) falls in it, forming an abstract "U". While the background is fading to black, the word "UNIVISION" can be seen above the "U", becoming white.

FX/SFX: The shapes forming the "U".

Music/Sounds: A 4-note synth theme.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: This logo used from January 1, 1990 to December 31, 2012. Univision used as screen bug until August 10, 2014.
