Background

Triggerfish Animation Studios is a computer-animated film studio founded in 1996, based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Logo: Against a table with some toys in a kid's room, there is a fishbowl, the camera approaches to the fishbowl to see that there's no fish in there, then the camera goes to the right of the table and we see some water splashes. Then the camera fastly moves to another part of the table where we see a toy aeroplane. Inside the aeroplane, there's a friendly looking, orange with white dots and stripes fish with a scarf. The fish puts on pilot glasses and starts to fly in the aeroplane, escaping of the house, and flying through a landscape. Later, we see that all the landscape is inside the "I" of the word "Triggerfish" in blue and backwards. In every letter there's a different landscape; the "T" has the moon, the "R" has a city, the dot on the "I" has a volcano, the first "G" has a circus, the second "G" has a forest and the rest of the letters are unreadable. The logo turns and the background changes to white. As this happens, the word "Triggerfish" is not backwards and completely in blue. Below it is "animation studios" in a lowercase Century Gothic font.

Variant: On Seal Team, the logo is shortened.

Technique: Very good CGI.

Music/Sounds: It opens with some water splashing sounds, then a mysterious musical sound and when we see the aeroplane, the music turns into a heroic fanfare. Otherwise, the opening theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on Adventures in Zambezia, Khumba and Seal Team.
