1st (known) Logo (1980s-Early 1990s)

Nickname: "Signature Map"

Logo: On a black background, green flares shoot out parts of the world in this order: Africa, North America, Eurasia, Greenland, Latin America, and Oceania (no Antarctica). Once the world is complete, "Travelview" writes itself out in a pink cursive font tilting at an angle. "INTERNATIONAL" then flashes below in a typewriter font.

FX/SFX: The green flares and the flashing are obvious late 80s video effects.

Music/Sounds: Arpeggiated synth chimes while a droning nine-note synthesized harpsichord jingle plays. As "Travelview" finishes writing, a high-pitched whoosh can be heard. It almost sounds like something Tangerine Dream would compose.

Availability: You'll find this on a bunch of travel tapes from that era. It's reported to be found on certain Berlitz Travel Videos of the early 1990s.
