Background

Towers Productions is a Chicago-based television production company that was founded in 1989 by Jonathan Towers.

1st Logo (1989-1995)

Visuals: There are three holes moving around on the screen, showing the word "TOWERS" with a red line and "PRODUCTIONS" below through them. The holes then expand to show the full logo, which shines once.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Unknown.

Availability: Unknown.

2nd Logo (1995-1998)

Visuals: On a black background shone by a blue light that moves from left to right, the letters for "TOWERS" come together from both sides of the screen. Below it, a red line draws in from the center and "PRODUCTIONS" appears underneath.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Unknown.

3rd Logo (1998-2005)

Visuals: On a white background, a coin showing a "T" sliced in half diagonally, with its left side colored yellow and right side colored black, while its background is colored inversely on one side (the other side is reversed) zooms in and makes a full spin before settling in the center. The spaced-out word "TOWERS" fades in below, while "PRODUCTIONS" appears underneath right away.

Variant: A slightly shorter version exists.

Technique: 2D animation with 3D effects.

Audio: Unknown.

Availability: Unknown.

4th Logo (October 19, 2005-)

Visuals: A monochrome 3D rendition of the coin from before (with a kerf around the diagonal slice, which opens up, then closes back) is seen panning out and filling in with color, while emitting colored light rays from behind. After it settles in a front view, the words "TOWERS PRODUCTIONS" appear below in a light ray fade-in, while the coin shines circularly on its sides.

Variants:

  • A short version exists.
  • Around the early 2010's, the logo was remastered in widescreen with more vivid colors.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Unknown.

Availability: Unknown.
