Background

Thameside TV was a pirate television channel broadcast on channel 28 in London, England from 1984 to 1985. The channel was started by the operators of the Thameside Radio pirate radio station, which began broadcasting in 1977. The channel's audio was simultaneously broadcast on the 90.5 FM radio band in case of issues with the television broadcast's audio. The channel mostly broadcast music videos. The final broadcast of the station never aired due to a raid by authorities resulting in the confiscation of the transmitter used by the station.

1st Logo (1984-1985)

Logo:A similar silhouette to the Thames TV logo of St. Paul's Cathedral is in a circle, with a blue sky and orange river, surrounded by a yellow background, and the text "CHANNEL 28 THAMESIDE TV" underneath.

Technique:The logo is a still image.

Music/Sounds:The logo is silent, but often had a voiceover.
