Background

Tantamount Studios was a joint venture between Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (who also own The Tannenbaum Company) and Mitchell Hurwitz (who also owns The Hurwitz Company), founded in 2007 with a multi-year deal at Sony Pictures Television. They produced four shows under the pact. The company name comes from the fictional film production studio location in Arrested Development, which Mitchell Hurwitz created.

1st Logo (April 19, 2009-September 11, 2011)

Visuals: Over a white background is "when in culver city" in a script font in a arc, with "visit" underneath in the same fashion. Below it is "TANTAMOUNT STUDIOS" done in a crude 3D grafitti-like manner (similar to the Sit Down, Shut Up logo), squished and compressed with the latter word spaced out.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: A dreamy choir theme composed by David Schwartz. Otherwise, none or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Sit Down, Shut Up, Brothers, and In the Flow with Affion Crockett. It was also seen on the pilot episode of Running Wilde, as well as the failed pilots of Wright vs. Wrong, Waiting to Die, Let It Go, the American adaptation of Ab Fab, Happiness Isn't Everything and Southern Discomfort.

2nd Logo (September 28-December 26, 2010)

Visuals: On a black background, the words "TANTA" and "MOUNT" slide respectively from the top and bottom of the screen, followed by "STUDIOS" placing to the right. All of the text is in a Times New Roman font with a white border as they move quickly.

Variant: A version exists where the text has some white covering (similar to snow).

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Running Wilde (except the pilot episode, which uses the previous logo).
