::ETA: I'll also review my own copies of videocassettes and early DVDs of Janus Collection films, and try to work out when Janus first released them. I'm still pretty sure, however, that whether the first logo was from 1956 or not, the Janus logo on the Embassy release of The Seventh Seal is a plaster. --IlCattivo25 (talk) 00:13, 30 July 2022 (UTC)

Since it's disputed if the 1st logo made its debut in 1956, I'm now curious if the dates for the other logos are real, especially if the 2nd logo on the page also has supposedly been used since 1956. Additionally, I did some calculations, and if they were correct, the 1947 Mosfilm logo just barely beats Janus Films' 1st logo in longevity, which may or may not result in the Editor's Note section of the 1st logo being changed. Did the first logo actually debut in 1956?

I have conducted some research on the logo including searching some of its earliest appearances that were seemingly printed in the 70's and 80's. I dispute the first logo's debut year because of the prints I took a look at that dates before the 1990's, the 3rd logo was used and only one has the first logo. The first logo's appearances on films from the late 50's to 1960's are possibly modern reprints since the logo appears before a more recent logo (i.e. one print of The Seventh Seal (1957) has this logo precede the 1999 SF Studios logo, so either reissuing or plastering might be involved), that the films Janus have distributed from this period weren't initially released by them and their lineup extends to films released as early as the 1920's. Should I remove the Editor's Note I wrote until things get clarified? AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 22:19, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
If it's disputed, then perhaps you can. Camenati (talk) 22:21, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
I mean, you are the person disputing it. That's why I asked you. AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 22:51, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
I just added a question mark to the year and wrote "...although this is disputed" in the Editor's Note. Cassie Grandstaff (talk) 23:01, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
