Background

TVEC (Télévision de l'Est du Canada Inc.) was a Canadian pay channel. It was licensed in November 1982, and was launched in February 1, 1983, which served areas of Quebec, eastern Ontario and Atlantic Canada. It was later merged with Premier Choix to form Premier Choix: TVEC in early 1984.

(1983-1984)

Logo: On a blue background, the slanted outlined letters "TVEC", all surrounded by a light blue glow zoom out which flips, and settles in place. Six orange glow bars wipe in which fills the letters in white, forming a flash, which turns the bars in white, with both sides of the bars fading out, the above section of the letters are cut out, and are colored in teal.

Technique: Cel animation.

Music/Sounds: A classical, soft flute-like piece, with violin stings.
