Background

South Pacific Television was a brief rename of TV 2 in 1976. On February 15, 1980, South Pacific Television was renamed TV 2 again when it merged with TV One under Television New Zealand.

1st (and possibly only) Logo (1976-February 15, 1980)


Logo: On a black background, we see a giant red dot in the center, with a green dot on its left side and a blue dot on its right side, and the words "SOUTH PACIFIC TELEVISION" in italics below. The two small dots begin drawing what looks like an eye around the red dot, with the green line being the inner line and the blue line being the outer one.
