Background

Screaming Flea Productions is a television production company founded in 1999, well known for producing reality television.

Logo (April 1, 2002-)

Visuals: On a white background, the text "ScreamIng Flea" is seen in a grungy typewriter font, and below it is "PRODUCTIONS, INC." in a angular font. To the left of the text is a small abstract drawing of a flea with lines coming from its mouth, as it its screaming. The flea hops along the letters "r", "m", and "I" letters, creating a visible arc as it does, and causes the "I" to drop, crushing the "I" in "PRODUCTIONS, INC.". It then stops in the middle of its 4th hop, the voice lines getting bigger..

Variants:

  • An in-credit version exists which has the entire text in one line and all in a plain typewriter font. The flea, which is larger, is located above the latter half of the logo.
  • In 2008, the logo is enhanced with cleaner animation, the "I" in "PRODUCTIONS, INC." removed, the "Screaming Flea" text altered slightly, and the flea hops into frame first before it creates its paths

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Cartoony hopping sounds, followed by the garbling of the flea. Most of the time, its just the end theme of the show.

Availability:

  • Seen on any reality shows they have produced, which rarely get re-runs nor ever get home media releases.
  • Known shows include Microsoft Insider, The Tech Of, Fuse’s Excellent Adventure, and possible others.
  • The in-credit variant appears on Adventures in Doggie Daycare.
  • Most of the time, they're only mentioned by a in-credit notice, like on their most well-known show, Hoarders.
