Background

The following is a compilation of international variants of the 1929 RKO Radio Pictures logo.

Italy

1st Logo (1936-1959)

Logo: On a cloudy background we see a radio tower situated on top of a still Earth globe. The radio tower is sending out signals illustrated by lightning bolts and sound waves coming from its transmitter. The text "La Radio Pictures presenta" (1930s) or "la RKO Radio Films presenta" (dates unknown) fades in itself on the logo in a "thunderbolt" font.

Trivia: The closing logo was the same as the American version.

FX/SFX: Same as its american counterpart.

Music/Sounds: Same as its american counterpart.

Availability: Extremely rare. The Radio Pictures version was seen on an Italian print of the lost film Deluge.

2nd logo (1946)

Logoː Same as the American Counterpart, but with the text "FINE" in front.

FX/SFXː None.

Music/Soundsː The Closing Theme of the Movie.

Availabilityː Only seen on a Rai 1 airing of It Happened Tomorrow.
