Background

Pretty People Pictures is a genre film production company founded in 2007 by Jimmy Weber and Annie Elizabeth Baker.

1st Logo (September 29, 2007-November 16, 2008)

Logo: Fading in on a black background, we see a glowing black moon, followed by a picture of a skeleton Virgin Mary with orange glow gleaming and then four gray bats on both sides. Afterwards, the grunge and twisted words "PRETTY PEOPLE PICTURES", with wings coming out of the "P" and second "E" in "PRETTY" and "PEOPLE" respectively, appears. The logo stays on-screen for several seconds before cutting to black.

Variants: On the trailer to The Gatekeeper, the shot of the Virgin Mary as well as the text is closer, the moon and the wings were removed. Both the Virgin Mary and the text are seen slowly zooming in.

FX/SFX: The images fading in and the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: A dark and creepy wind sound that gradually grows louder, leading into a death metal tune that ends with a gun shoot when the screen cuts to black.

Availability: Rare. Only seen on Dead Line II: Wrong Number and the trailer to The Gatekeeper.

2nd Logo (September 21, 2009-November 27, 2010)

Logo: The text from before with blood behind is zooming out on a black background.

FX/SFX: Just the logo zooming out.

Music/Sounds: Loud ambience sounds.

Availability: Only seen on Below the Basement and The House in Windsor.

3rd Logo (January 8, 2011)

Logo: On a dimly lit dark gray background with film noise, the same text from before, now with "PRESENTS" underneath it, is zooming towards us.

FX/SFX: The film effects and the logo zooming in.

Music/Sounds: A hit sound accompanied with film noise.

Availability: Only seen on The Gatekeeper.

4th Logo (March 9, 2011-)

Logo: We cut through multiple shots of a comic book-style image of a screaming woman in black, white, and {{font color|red|red} inside a shattered glass alongside the white, horror-themed words "PRETTY PEOPLE PICTURES" with a black outline against a red background. Shortly after, there are red VHS glitches that cuts to the same text scrolling up and lighting up while the background constantly changes brightness and the footage appears to be unsteady. Not long after, we cut to closer shots of the logo, and then to the same image of the screaming woman once again in different close-ups.

Variants:

  • An in-credit version exists.
  • On The Making of Eat: Web Series, the logo starts with the VHS glitches and when the logo cuts to the screaming woman, the screen glitches and cuts to a black screen reading "©2014 PRETTY PEOPLE PICTURES, LLC". There is also a film effect throughout the sequence.
  • On Rent-A-Pal, the logo is put through a VHS filter.

FX/SFX: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: A partially cut sound of a woman's scream when her close-ups are shown. Then, static performed by a guitar, a loud rumble, and some buzzes when the logo appears albeit unsteady. When the logo cuts to closer shots of itself, there appears to be VHS switch sound and a different sound of the woman's screams.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On The Making of Eat: Web Series, the ending theme of the series plays.
  • On Rent-A-Pal, the sound is muffled and accompanied with VHS noise.

Availability: Current. Debuted on Incubator and was seen on projects from the company since such as Eat and Rent-A-Pal.
