Background

Point of View Movie Production Company Limited was a film production company set up by Dennis Law in 2004.

1st Logo (2004-2010, late 2010's-)

NOTE: The later variant can be seen in the 2nd video at 0:51.

Logo: On a black background, we see a Cantonese letter "影" writing itself. Then the Cantonese word "視點", in white, fades in on the bottom-right of the letter. Then the words "制作有限公司" and "POV Movie Production Co. Ltd.", fades in below.

Variant: When this logo was reused in possibly late 2010's, a glow was added on "影", and the text below now reads the company name in Cantonese with the smaller word "出品" next to it, the word "Presented By" and the full company name with the first half of the text colored red and the second half of it colored white.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie. For the later variant, an orchestral tune.

Availability: Common. It can be seen on their movies, such as Fatal Move.

2nd Logo (2010-late 2010's?)

Logo: We first see a top view of several red chrome balls getting dropped into a silver floor. Then, the camera cuts to the balls falling into the floor on a dark blue and black gradient background and roll, with the camera follows one of the red balls. Suddenly, the red components come falling in from the top, and the camera cuts to a different view of the ongoing sequence, with the balls quickly dodge from the red components while the components form the Cantonese letter "影" from before. One of the balls rolls into a red component which is a ramp and jumps from it, and continues rolling while dodging from them. Then the camera cuts to a side view of a ball, dodging from several red components quickly and rolls into a ramp. It then lands onto a red swirly slide, with the camera cuts to two different shots of this sequence. It then finally cuts to a final shot of the sequence, in which the ball finished rolling and falls from the slide with the camera zooming out. "視點" then wipes in letter-by-letter and "影" turns 2D (but still being 3D as evident by the 3D borders). The company name from before then wipes in below.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: Corresponding sound effects, followed by a dramatic theme which ends with a descending piano flourish.

Availability: Uncommon. Can be seen on their movies until possibly late 2010's, such as The Constable.
