Background

Petróleo Brasileiro S.A., better known by the acronym Petrobras, is a state-owned Brazilian multinational corporation in the petroleum industry headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The corporation has not also been involved in the petroleum industry, but also in film and television, such as the Petrobras Cultural Program (Programa Petrobras Cultural), one of which is Elite Squad.

(October 5, 2007-)

Logo: On a black background, a silver Petrobras logo (a green box with "BR" in it and a yellow separated by a white line and border with "PETROBRAS" beside it flies in from the upper right corner. It then centers as it becomes flatter and "Apresenta" fades in below. The logo then slowly zooms in.

FX/SFX: The flying and transition to 3D and 2D, and the fading of "Apresenta".

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Rare in the US, but common in Brazil. In the US, this is retained on Elite Squad (2007), which was distributed in the US by The Weinstein Company, whose logo plasters the 2007 Universal logo on its original Brazilian release.
