Background

Paramount Oxford Films was the educational arm of Paramount Pictures, along with Paramount Communications, not to be confused with Paramount's then-future parent company.

1st Logo (1970s)

Logo: The words "OXFORD FILMS" in a curvy 1970s font is centered on a blue background with "A SUBSIDIARY OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION" below. The words "PRESENTS" in a plain sans serif font appear underneath the logo.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Either silent or the ending theme of the short.

Availability: Was seen on educational films produced by Paramount.

2nd Logo (1970s)

Logo: On a black screen, we see the words "DISTRIBUTED BY" on top. The familiar Paramount logo from the 70's is seen inside a box on the left. At the right is "OXFORD FILMS". Under it, the words "A SUBSIDIARY OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION" is seen.

Variant: A superimposed version of the logo exists.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Either silent or the ending theme of the short.

Availability: Was seen in educational films produced by Paramount.

3rd Logo (1978?-1980s)

Logo: We see the Paramount logo with the Gulf + Western byline inside of a box. Below it is "PARAMOUNT OXFORD FILMS", along with the byline "A SUBSIDIARY OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION". Depending on if it's at the start or end of a film, we see either "PRESENTS" below, or "DISTRIBUTED BY" above.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Either silent or the start/ending theme of the short.

Availability: Was seen in educational films produced by Paramount.
