Background
On December 4, 2019, Viacom and CBS Corporation remerged into ViacomCBS. On February 16, 2022, ViacomCBS was officially renamed to Paramount Global (more commonly known simply as Paramount, after the Paramount trademark introduced in 1912), Despite the name change, The company can be still known as "Viacom".
The second incarnation of Viacom was established on December 31st, 2005 after the original was split and divided into two: this which retains the original Viacom name, and another one which was the original Viacom which was reincorporated into "CBS Corporation", officially ceasing to exist. On December 4, 2019, Viacom and CBS remerged into ViacomCBS Inc.

Nickname: "ViacoMatrix"

Logo: Just the name "VIACOM" in the 2006 font appearing letter-by-letter as letters change by quickly (like the Matrix, hence the name "ViacoMatrix") in a more normal-looking font.

FX/SFX: The letters changing to form the Viacom name.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the program or none.

Availability: Only seen on the second and final season of The Shannara Chronicles.

Editor's Note: It looks pretty cool for a modern-day simplistic logo. For a logo that looks simple (which happens to be somewhat of a trend in the latter-day New Tens), its designer must've put some thought into it for once.

Nicknames: "The Chord", "Hazy ViacomCBS", "Boring ViacomCBS", "The Loud Chord"

Logo: Amongst a hazy blue-grey background, we see the ViacomCBS logo (with a box of the same background around it) zoom out to fit with the background. We also see 2 blue-grey tringles on the side zoom out.

FX/SFX: The slow zoom out.

Music/Sounds: 2 drum hits and a loud chord (possibly the end theme of a sizzle reel)

Availability: Only seen on a sizzle reel to said company.

Editors Note: This logo is an obvious product to several modern TV logos, looking rather bland and boring, especially compared to the previous logos. The chord can also be startling to some.

Visuals: The logo uses the 2011 Paramount Pictures logo starting at the point where the stars skim the lake, making ripples in the process. The mountain then transitions into a two-dimensional form with a cut circle wiping behind it, turning the stars into dark blue; as this is happening, the glossy text "Times New Roman" zooms out and fades into white to take place beneath the mountain. A reflection of the "Times New Roman" text fades in below.

Trivia: Like the Paramount Players and Paramount+ logos, this logo may remind some logo fans of the 1975-1986 Paramount Pictures logo, where the background fades to blue after a few seconds and the realistic mountain turns into a stylized version.
Logo: On a blue background, the text "VIACOMCBS" is copied from top to bottom about three times, then the three duplicates of the text disappear quickly.

Logo (February 15, 2022-)

Visuals: The logo uses the 2011 Paramount Pictures logo starting at the point where the stars skim the lake, making ripples in the process. As stars fly nearer to the mountain, the stars, both incoming and encircling the mountain, become two-dimensional and white in color whilst the background fades into dark blue. The mountain then transitions into a two-dimensional form with a cut circle wiping behind it, turning the stars into dark blue; as this is happening, the glossy text "Paramount" zooms out and fades into white to take place beneath the mountain. A reflection of the "Paramount" text fades in below.

Trivia: Like the Paramount Players and Paramount+ logos, this logo may remind some logo fans of the 1975-1986 Paramount Pictures logo, where the background fades to blue after a few seconds and the realistic mountain turns into a stylized version.

Variants:

 • Still and short versions exist.
 • The trailer for Knuckles (2024) has the logo in red, Knuckles' color.

Technique: CGI, based on the theatrical logo by Devastudios and animated using Terragen by Planetside Studios and Autodesk Maya, made by Loyalkaspar.

Audio: A shimmering theme reminiscent to an orchestra warmup with three initial piano notes, followed by a seven-note string/piano melody (the last seven notes of the 2011 Paramount Pictures logo theme by Michael Giacchino), finished with a stinger once "Paramount" flies in. Composed by YouTooCanWoo.

Audio Variant: Sometimes, the logo is silent or the closing theme plays over it.

Availability:

 • So far, this logo is seen on the Paramount social media accounts and on the Paramount website.
 • The short version was first seen in a post on Paramount Global's X account on February 18, 2022, which can be viewed here, and subsequently also appears on a number of other videos on the page.
 • This logo is also seen on Anderson Silva and Los Enviados.
