Background

Pan-Asia Video, Inc. was a home video distributor based in San Francisco, California, specializing in Asian releases.

(1980s)

Logo: On a white background with a black border, a red rectangle wipes in from the bottom, followed by red particles forming a semicircle to the right of the rectangle. Then an arc is drawn over the semicircle. The shapes make up an abstract "PA". After the logotype is formed, "PAN-ASIA VIDEO, INC," slides in from the right, pushing the logotype to the left. The Chinese translation of the name then fades in above the English name.

Technique: Simple 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The tail-end of the Silver Bird Films logo theme.
