Background

Optreve was a DVD enhancement system developed and operated by Screenlife Games for their series of DVD board games.

(2003-2012)

Logo: On a black background, an optical disc flies in from the bottom of the screen and is enveloped by a blue vortex, forming two elongated silver crescents that are nested in each other and have their points facing right. They zoom out, revealing the word "OPTREVE" underneath them along with the caption "DVD ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY", which are both also in silver, after which the vortex fades out and an oval appears in between the crescents, creating a stylized depiction of a spinning optical disc. The completed logo remains for a couple seconds before fading out.

Technique: The vortex spinning, the logo zooming out.

Music/Sounds: 3 synth-piano notes, a couple of electronic drumbeats, and 5 more piano notes.

Availability: Seen on most post-2003 Screenlife games.
