1st Logo (1941-1966)

Variants:

  • Some shows and movies can have all of the text be in Times New Roman.
  • On Biography, a copyright stamp is added below the logo.
  • On Mr. Lucky, a paper airplane is seen to the right of the logo. After the logo disappears, it immediately segues into the Spartan Productions logo.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the TV show or movie.

2nd Logo (Early 1950s)


Nickname: "The Ribbon"

Logo: On a striped background with stars, we see a ribbon with the text "OFFICIAL FILMS" in a Western-like font, under it is "Present" in cursive.

Variant:

  • Superimposed in the closing credits, we see "THE END" with "AN OFFICIAL FILMS" in the same western font as the normal logo. Otherwise, this logo can say "AN OFFICIAL FILM" or "THE NEW".
  • A color version of this logo exists.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on a re-issue of RKO/Van Bueren's Tom & Jerry shorts and Paramount's 1934 Screen Songs short Let's Sing with Popeye.


3rd Logo (1957)


Logo: After the end credits, we see a trapezoid tube tilted 90 degrees to the right. To its left is a cardiogram leading into a drawing of Earth. To the right of the shape reads "an OFFICIAL FILMS INC. presentation".

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: So far, this logo is seen on a re-issue of The Adventures of Robin Hood episode "To Be a Student".
