Background

NotDoppler.com is a website which stored Flash games and provided new ones every thursday. It also had it's own mobile games, such as the Earn to Die series and Crash of Cars. The studio was established in the year 2005 by John Daskalopoulos. Initially, the studio specialized in developing Flash games and providing a platform for them, although they have since shifted their focus to mobile games instead. The company is based in Sydney, Australia.

1st Logo (2007-2019)

Logo: We fade into a green background. Afterwards, some blue text saying "new games..." fades in the top left corner. Some more blue text saying "...EVERY THURSDAY" fades in the bottom right corner. Then, we fade in to a blue background with light green text saying "notDOPPLER", with the "not" being bigger and more bold than the "DOPPLER". The logo then fades out.

Variant: On some games, there is a white background before the green background.

Technique: 2D Flash animation.

Music/Sounds: A West Coast-styled hip-hop beat, which is called "A Track Like This" by Whodis?.

Availability: Common. Can be found on most games on their website and on other websites.

Legacy: This logo is very memorable for those who have played Flash games from the late 2000's to the early 2010's.

2nd Logo (March 23, 2017-)

Logo: On the same blue background from before, we see a faint green rectangle with its underside cut. In front of it it is the text "notDOPPLER" with "DOPPLER" inside the rectangle, with the "D" and "R" overlaping with the rectangle's border.

Variant: Until version 1.1.24 of Crash of Cars, the logo had "Loading..." underneath. This basically acts as the loading screen of the game.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Only seen on Crash of Cars, which is available for mobile devices.

Legacy: A favorite among Crash of Cars fans.

Final Note: On December 31, 2020, NotDoppler ceased the creation of weekly updates to the website due to Flash going out-of-service. On January 3, 2021, NotDoppler also ceased operation of Flash games on the website. Currently, NotDoppler is a video game developer.
