Background

Newmarket Films was an American film distributor and producer formed in 1994 as a subsidiary of the Newmarket Capital Group. It was acquired in 2009 by and later folded into Exclusive Films.

1st Logo (September 5, 2000-2003)


Visuals: A bright light flash occurs and the word "NEWMARKET" appears in a shiny white font (sometimes with orange glimpse). There is a dim, full width line right below the word.

Technique: CGI

Audio: A harsh string with windy sounds, or nothing.

Availability: Seen on the company's early films, like Cruel Intentions 2, Stark Raving Mad, Memento, and Donnie Darko (the director's cut uses the next logo).
