Background

Following the closure of Rogue Entertainment, ex-id staff member Brandon James formed Nerve Software in 2001, where members of Rogue would join the company. They primarily acted as a support studio for different developers, id Software being the most prevalent. The company would close in 2021.

1st Logo (May 6, 2003-October 5, 2005)

Visuals: On a scratchy red background, a close-up of a microorganism is seen. The camera zooms into one of the organism's nuclei which contains the word "nerve" in a Typewriter font, the "e" is encased in a hexagon. A drop-shadow effect occurs on the word.

Variant: On Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War the logo is in black and white.

Technique: CGI.

Availability: Appeared on Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War for Xbox and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil.
