Background

Nent Studios UK was originally started out as DRG, which stood for Digital Rights Group', and was originally formed by Ingenious in 2006 after purchasing Portman Film & Television. A year later, it bought the international division of Channel 4 and had other brands, namely i-Rights, ID Distribution and Zeal Entertainment. In 2011, the company's branding of subsidiaries phased out in favor of DRG's. In 2013, Ingenious sold DRG to MTG Studios, which in 2014, became part of Nice Entertainment. In 2020, it became Nent Studios UK, which in 2021, was sold off to All3Media and the company dissolved.
