Background

In 2009, The Beedie Group started working with the Canadian company My Plastic Badger, and together they produced seasons two, three and four of Sanctuary.

Logo (October 9, 2009-December 30, 2011)

Visuals: On a stormy sky background, there is a cracked road in the desert that quickly pans down and stops. All of a sudden, a badger walks into the road, as a tree in the background is destroyed by lightning. Then, a truck drives on the road and the badger is run over, getting flattened like a cartoon. The badger pops back up like nothing happened, and walks away. The picture zooms out into a black background. Underneath the picture are the words "MY PLASTIC BADGER" written in a red font. Two seconds after, the badger appears inside a spotlight over the picture, casting a shadow. It then cuts to the Sanctuary 3 Productions Ltd. logo.

Variant: On some syndication prints of seasons 2-4 of Sanctuary from PPI Releasing, the logo is shortened to where the truck drives in and the badger is run over.

Technique: Cartoon animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show along with lightning sounds and the truck driving. Also, there are the sounds of the badger, which are its footsteps, it popping back up, and what sounds like it saying "duh duh". The spotlight turning on is, naturally, accompanied by the sound of a spotlight turning on.

Availability: Only seen on Sanctuary on Syfy from seasons 2 to 4.

The thunder lightning strikes again when the tree is dead, as this is happening, a brown and white badger (who is happening to start off with the physical appearance of a badger with the colors of the brown and white fur, a nose is black, a tail is brown with a white tip, and two black arms and hands) walks into the road and stands in still way. Then a truck will appear and it comes from to the road, it then disappears (As they drives out) and the badger dies (but he can't moved in the road anymore). This is what how the badger is dead, with shoeprint on it. The Badger suddenly pops out as they stand down to the view and walks on the road to the sand. The camera zooms out to reveal that the road is on a black background. When the red words "My Plastic Badger" is seen below. Then, a badger appears with a white spotlight on it fades directly in the logo. It then cuts to the Sanctuary logo with a copyright notice depending on each season.
