Background

Mushroom Video was the home video division of an Australian record company, Mushroom Records. It focused on the distribution of music videos. In 1998, Mushroom was bought out by Warner Music Group, a.k.a. "WEA Records" (Warner, Elektra, and Atlantic).

(1994-1998)

Logo: On a sky background with moving clouds, a pink obtuse triangle flies in from the top right, followed by a yellow scalene triangle flying in from the bottom left. They arrange themselves in the center of the screen, yellow above pink. Then, the words "Mushroom", in a black '80s script font, zooms out onto the triangles. "VIDEO" appears letter by letter via green lasers.

FX/SFX: The triangles and lasers. Typical 90's effects.

Music/Sounds: A dreamy synth tune with a few "whooshes" as the triangles fly in. Some electric piano notes are heard as the lasers form the word "VIDEO".

Availability: Appears on music videos released throughout Australia.

Editor's Note: None.
