Background
On October 10, 2003, MDP Worldwide changed its name to Media 8 Entertainment. It filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in April 2012, and later merged with Capella Films to form Bloom Media (now Fifth Season).
Logo (December 24, 2003-March 1, 2010)
Visuals: A seagull flies over the water in front of a dense sky background and touches it twice, casting ripples that join together into "8" while the words:
media8
e n t e r t a i n m e n t
rotate in above.
Variant: There is a still variant with a plainer, brighter picture and the seagull in flight. It appeared on the company's website.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A majestic soundtrack, with two dings when the seagull touches the water. This was composed by Stuart A. Hart and Steven Michael Stern.[1]
Availability: Seen on movies distributed by Media 8 worldwide. The still version was seen on the Media 8 website and the trailer for a re-release of Monster by Millennium Films.
