Logo (29 September 1962-1974)


Visuals: Over a black background is 4 arrows form the Maltese cross. The deltas then rotate and form a diamond shape. The text "mtv" writes by itself and the logo remains static for several seconds before playing in reverse and then stopping for a while. All but the left delta becomes transparent, then an eye shape is formed and lastly the full name of the company "malta television service" in a stacked format fades in on the right.

Variant: A shortened variant exists which started when the Maltese cross was formed.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A whimsical flute fanfare.

Audio Variant: On the shortened variant, there is a proud and whimsical bombastic fanfare. In some, there can be a narrator heard.
