Background

Kang Chak Films was a Cambodian film company from before the Khmer Rouge.

1st Logo (196?-197?)

Visuals: On a black background, we see a golden discus spinning (sudarshana chakra, the weapon of the Hindu god Vishnu). Above the discus is the Cambodian name arched and below it is the text "PRODUCTION KANG CHAK FILMS"

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: Current prints have the Shaw Brothers fanfare.

Availability: Many films dating from before the Khmer Rouge are considered lost or destroyed. This logo is seen on the 1969 film ជីវិតអភ័ព្វ ភាគ.
