Background

Jaleco Ltd was a corporate brand name that was originally formed in 1974 to produce equipment for arcade centers and amusement parks. It was expanded to produce their arcade games in 1982, and a year later, began Famicom production. In the late 1980s, the company started an American office, Jaleco USA to localize games for the market. In 2000, it was sold to PCCW, which renamed the company to PCCW Japan.
