Background

Intercom Entertainment was a label of Gativideo used to release low budget movies, operating from 1992 to 1994.

1st Logo (1992-1993)

Logo: On a black background, we see a 3D image of planet Earth zooming in and then it flashes, and we reveal the outlined words "INTERCOM" in red and "Entertainment" in blue shown up. The picture shatters, except for the text, and 3D colored spheres shatter in on a red-blue gradient background, and the image freezes after it shatters and lands on a space background. After a few seconds, it cuts to a purple background showing the text, now filled in, and we see the white word "PRESENTA" in white with a blue shadow below the text.

FX/SFX: Early 90s CGI.

Music/Sounds: A crystalized jungle-oriented theme with some rock notes.

Availability: Seen on early Intercom Entertainment releases from the era.

Editor's Note: The CGI appears to be cheap, plus the text was poorly superimposed, and the cut-in looked cheap.

2nd Logo (1993-1994)

Logo: On a black background, pieces of the AT&T/New World-style red sphere slides in from left to right, and then the sphere shines, and we zoom out to form the sphere on top, and then we see the words "INTERCOM" in a futuristic silver font, with the word "ENTERTAINMENT" in spaced-out letters, sliding from the bottom and lands on the sphere. The text shines.

FX/SFX: The sphere pieces sliding, the text moving and sliding.

Music/Sounds: A dreamy piano theme with some synth and guitar notes.

Availability: Seen on later Intercom Entertainment releaes.

Editor's Note: The logo design is improved, but the logo design blatantly rips off the 1984 New World Pictures logo.
