Background

Interactive Magic was founded in 1994 by former MicroProse employee Bill Stealey. The company was a significant publisher of military wargames. In 1999 it was reorganized into iEntertainment Network, which still exists, but actually has little to do with the original company.

1st Logo (1995-1999)

Visuals: On a starfield, a double-colored blue and black box slide from nowhere. Then a black-and-white peanut-shaped figure flies and places itself on the box. The "I" letter pops up and settles above. Then another circular figure flies into the box and forms something like the tilted Napoleon hat or an abstract eye. The "MAGIC" appears and settles above. The byline "SIMULATION & STRATEGY GAMING" forms below and shines.

Technique: 2D digital animation.

Audio: A humming and ding-dropping synth.

Availability: It was seen on Liberation Day, IM2A2 Abrams, Fallen Haven, Star Rangers, the Great Battles trilogy and other games. A still version appeared on Capitalism Plus and Harpoon 97.

2nd Logo (1998)

Visuals: Part of the blue figure slide from the top, then the black figure slips from the bottom, and they collide into a box. Then pieces of an eye zoom inside, and the name words slide from both directions - black "INTERACTIVE" and blue "MAGIC" under it.

Technique: 2D digital animation.

Audio: Heavy rolling sounds and clanks.

Availability: Only appeared on Thunder Brigade.
