International Warning (1997-2017)

Visuals: On a black background, we see the following text in a white Times New Roman font.

Variants:

  • On later releases, the text fades out much earlier.
  • On the DVD release of Barney: Let's Play Outside, the font is different, and it cuts to the HiT Entertainment logo instead of fading out.

Availability: Seen on VHS and DVD releases from HIT Entertainment before the 1997, 2001 or 2006 HIT logo. [Examples?]

North American Warning 1 (2003-2006)

Visuals: On a blue background, we see a white bar with the blue words "FBI WARNING" on the left. On the right, we see the white warning text. The text then fades out and the an Interpol warning, in which a blue word "INTERPOL" is in place of "FBI WARNING" and white Interpol text is on the right. Moments later, the Interpol text changes.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on VHS and DVD releases from HIT Entertainment before the 2001 or 2006 HIT logo. [Examples?]

North American Warning 2 (2006-2008)

Same as the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment warning screens at the time.

Availability: Seen on all HIT Entertainment DVD releases distributed by Fox from 2006 to 2008, such as Thomas & Friends: Carnival Capers, Barney: Shake Your Dino Tail, and Bob the Builder: New to the Crew.

North American Warning 3 (2008-2012)

Same as the Lionsgate Home Entertainment warning screen at the time.

Availability: Seen on all HIT Entertainment DVDs distributed by Lionsgate from 2008 to 2012. [Examples?]

North American Warning 4 (2012-2017)

Same as the other FBI Anti-Piracy warning screens since 2012 at the time.

Variant: Starting in 2014, the 2012 Universal FBI Anti-Piracy warning screens are used.

Availability: Seen on the final HIT Entertainment DVDs distributed by Lionsgate from 2012 to 2014, and on all HIT Entertainment/Mattel Television DVDs distributed by Universal from 2014 to 2017.
