Background

Grammnet Productions (also known as "Grammnet NH Productions") is the production company of actor/producer Kelsey Grammer.

(November 30, 1995- )

Nickname: "The Dolphin"

Logo: In a muddy blue area with streaks in the corners, a golden dolphin appears and quickly dives into a invisible pool of water, creating ripples. The ripples then produce a golden rectangle, in which a "G" quickly zooms in to fill the space. Below, 2 streaks form "GRAMMNET" in a golden sans font, and "PRODUCTIONS", spread out in a different silver font. More streaks continue to move in the background as the "G" shines.

Variants:

  • An "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" disclaimer can be seen below the logo on some shows.
  • On the original version of the logo, the aspect FOV is changed using Vert-algorithm between the 4:3 and 16:9 versions.
  • Starting in 2005 on season 2 of Medium, the logo is altered in animation, with the ripples glowing at first before forming the rectangle. The logo is also enhanced with upgraded effects and a different, bolder font.
  • On shows starting with Boss, it has an arc and the letters "NH" below the logo.

FX/SFX: The dolphin diving, the "G" forming, and the streaks forming "GRAMMNET" and "PRODUCTIONS".

Music/Sounds: A crystal jingle starting with 4 descending notes (similar to the Windows 3.1 "chimes" sound), followed by 2 more ascending notes.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • The last note of the crystal jingle trails off into the Paramount Television logo on Fired Up! and seasons 2-6 of Girlfriends, the CBS Paramount Television logo on seasons 7-8 of Girlfriends and season 1 of The Game, or the NBC Studios logo on In-Laws.
  • On Boss, Partners and the 2021 revival of The Game, it uses the closing theme of the show.
  • ABC, NBC, CBS & The CW airings use their generic themes.

Availability: First seen on the 1995 NBC special Kelsey Grammer Salutes Jack Benny, then seen on Fired Up. Seen on produced shows like Girlfriends on UPN/The CW, Medium on NBC/CBS, The Game on The CW/BET/Paramount+ and Partners on FX. Don't expect this to appear on season 6 of Frasier, despite Kelsey Grammer being one of the executive producers on the show.

Editor's Note: None.
