Background

Goodyear Movie Company is a film produciton company,based in Hong Kong.

1st Logo (197?-1987)




Nicknames: "Cursive Goodyear", "Good (No Shoe) Year", "Good-Year rip-off"

Logo: On a blue starry background, we see the gold script "Goodyear" slowly wiping in as stars sparkle, followed by stacked "MOVIE COMPANY" in ITC Kabel Ultra fading in on the right.

Variants: On some movies, the text will zoom out and move the left to make room for Chinese company name in red, wiping in from the left. A dark blue version of the normal logo. A dark blue logo with the chinese text.

FX/SFX: The script wiping in, the stars.

Music/Sounds: A slightly-shortened version of "Fanfare Showcase No. 2" by Peter Reno and Jack Trombey.

Availability: Rare, seen on Fearless Hyena.
