Background

Fox Video was an Italian home entertainment company. It has no relation to 20th Century Fox's home video unit from the 1990's.

(Late 1980s-1990s)

Logo: We see on a spinnning starfield the segmented text "FOX VIDEO" in 3D in a Bauhaus font fly into the screen. It then proceeds to become smaller as it flies further into the starfield, and a flash occurs. The planet Earth flies in and we zoom to the top of it, right into a blue city skyline. It pans and shines as the company text returns spinning in from the top like a gyroscope. The skyline then fades out, leaving only the logo, which pans forward as the word "PRESENTA" in 2D in the same Bauhaus font zooms in underneath.

Technique: Early CGI.

Audio: A futuristic and dramatic synth tune.

Availability: It was seen on Paris Models.
