Background

Filmtrust Motion Picture Licensing was founded by Marco Colombo and Christian Halsey-Solomon in the 1980s. It was later absorbed into Blue Ridge Entertainment sometime during the early 1990s.

(Late 1980s-1991)

Logo: On a black background, we see the text "FILMTRUST" either zoom towards us or scroll upwards (in a brighter color) from the bottom of the screen and settle above the center of the screen. The text "MOTION PICTURE LICENSING, INC" then fades in below.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.

Music/Sounds: Usually, the trailer background music. Occasionally, it is silent.

Availability: Can be found on mostly (so far) trailers for films from this company, including, but not limited to, the trailer for The Arrival (1991) (AKA: The Unwelcomed) as well as trailers for Impact (1990), Power Games and Cursed (1990), among possible others. However, it currently remains unknown if this can actually be seen on films from this company or not. The print logo can be found on the back or front of the boxes of VHS releases of some of their films.
