Background

This was a video company owned by the magazine Film Threat.

(Early-Late 1990s)

Logo: In a dark environment, we see a volcano with the "Hollywood" sign on it. Suddenly, it rumbles and erupts, leaving tons of magma pouring out from the volcano. A chunk of magma flips up, revealing a black figure with a TV-like head holding a film camera, which looks at us. We then fade into a white background, and the slanted, stacked text "FILM THREAT", with "VIDEO" in white and in a crumbly black box, is seen against the background.

Technique: Stop-motion animation.

Audio: Some bird chirps followed by rumbling and an explosion sound. This segues into a rock theme ending with a man shouting "FILM THREAT!", which echoes to the end of the logo.

Availability: Seen at the beginning of Chicken Hawk: Men Who Love Boys and other releases from them at the time.
