Background

This is the production company of Peter Berg. It is named after an early project of Berg known as Truck 44.

1st Logo (October 3, 2006-January 22, 2012)

Nickname: "The Rectangle"

Logo: On a black background, we see a rectangle with a white square in it. In the black part we see the word "FILM" in white and in the square we see the numbers "44" in black.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Football players grunting.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on Friday Night Lights and the short lived U.S. adaptation of Prime Suspect.


2nd Logo (June 26, 2009- )

Logo: On a dark background, two blue fours are fading in and coming together. "FILM" fades in next to "44",

Variants:

  • On The Leftovers, the logo is still and has more grayish look.
  • On Virtuality and Dare Me, the logo is still in the white background. On the former, it shares the screen with the BermanBraun logo below.

Technique: The numbers fading in, coming together and "FILM" fading in.

Music/Sounds: The opening or closing theme of the film.

Availability: The animated version appeared on Battleship and Lone Survivor. The still version was seen on the HBO television series, The Leftovers.
