1st Logo (December 1997-May 7, 2000)

Logo: On a white background, a gray cast iron ball with a small hole on the bottom-left rolls to the screen as two interlocked lowercase F's are seen, one placed vertically and one horizontally. One of the F's raises while the ball stops rolling. Then an orange laser appears and forms an orange "a" into the hole on the ball. The F's tails then draw in. The logo moves back. The words "Студия Ф.А.Ф." then fade in above. The words "фабрика", "анимационных" and"фильмов" then wipe in one-by-one.

FX/SFX: The ball rolling, the laser forming the "a", the tails drawing in, the text fading and wiping in. Decent animation.

Music/Sounds: None. On some cases, a synthesized fanfare with crystal wind chimes at the beginning is heard.

Availability: Scarce. Seen on all Neznayka na lune (Dunno on the Moon) cartoons and the Noski bol'shovo goroda (Socks of a Big City) short.

Editor's Note: None.
