Background

Estudios Picasso was Telecinco's production company for fiction contents: films, TV series and TV movies. It was founded in 1996 with the name of Digitel 5, but in 1997 it was rebranded to Estudios Picasso. The company kept this name until 2007, when it was rebranded again, this time as Telecinco Cinema.

1st Logo (1997-2002)

Visuals: The Telecinco logo blends in with this one, then disappears (both logos always appeared together). An eye appears in the center of the screen and blinks, with the eyelashes appearing and disappearing rapidly in a circular motion, until a blue shape appears and settles on the top left part of the eye, while a red pupil appears in the center. Meanwhile, the words "una producción" (a production of) fade in above the eye, while the words "ESTUDIOS PICASSO" appear in the screen, zooming out to settle below the eye.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A relaxing piano fanfare accompanying the eye's transformations.

Availability: Can be found at the start of many of Telecinco's original series from this time, including the first seasons of 7 vidas, El comisario and Hospital Central.

2nd Logo (2002-2007)

Visuals: In a white background, a blue 3D ball appears, with 2 curves revolving around it. They move to the left of the image, with rest of the letters appearing along the way (in blue as well), until the ball and the curves settle on top of the I, making what looks like a P, so it reads: "PICASSO ESTUDIOS". A light appears in the P and moves along the rest of the logo, from the upper left corner to the bottom right one, while the text "una producción de" (a production of) fades in on top of the logo, and the letters change colours from blue to black.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A synth melody, synchronised with the logo's animation.

Availability: Can be found at the start of many of Telecinco's original series from this time, including Hospital Central, Aída, Los Serrano and Yo Soy Bea.

3rd Logo (2002-2007)

Visuals: In a starry background, a white light appears, with 2 curves revolving around it. They move to the left of the image, with navy blue letters appearing along the way, rotating around themselves and finally settling in. Finally, the light fades out, revealing a blue 3D ball, settling in with the curves on top of the I, making what looks like a P, so we can read: "PICASSO ESTUDIOS". The letters then change colours from navy blue to white.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A synth melody, synchronized with the logo's animation.

Availability: Can be found at trailers of films either funded, produced or distributed by Telecinco such as Días de Fútbol. In the films themselves, the logo only appeared as an in-credits version.
