Essex Video was the home video distributor of Essex Pictures that released its adult films on VHS and sometimes, on Laserdisc. They also had a value-based adult video distributor called Select Video.The logo you see actually came from a 1985 "Today" report on the rise of home video, uploaded by "videholic1980sA", and in four parts (this can be found on BOTH part three and four).

Logo: On a black background, the words "ESSEX VIDEO" are seen in a goldenRetro Stereo Wide font (the same font that the Sega logo uses) with a segmented line in the middle, and surrounded by a rounded rectangle. The logo twirls around diagonally, then unfolds itself. It shines a bit, then we fade out.

FX/SFX: The twirling of the logo and shining. Just a shot of a model with cheap effects.

Music/Sounds: No sound, but on certain tapes and laserdiscs it used a disco-like synth-piano tune that sounded like something from a news broadcast from the late 70s.

Availability: Ultra rare, possibly bordering on extinct while the music variant is already extinct. Can be seen on vintage pornography films on videotapes from the 1980's.
