Background

EFX is one of the most famous Indian digital post production companies that offers the entire range of digital services including Digitization, Digital Film Restoration, Digital Archiving, Media Asset Management, VFX, Rotoscoping, Digital Intermediate, Blu-Ray Compression and Authoring, 3D Movie Production Solutions, and Stereoscopic Conversion Services. It was founded in the early 1990's, but it did not use a logo until 1992.

1st Logo (1992)

Logo: Just the print version of the 2nd logo with "SPECIAL EFFECTS" on the top of it zooming in.

Technique: Just the zooming.

Music/Sounds: The sound of a wind.

Availability: Only seen on Aatha Kanthirantha.

2nd Logo (November 30, 2001-2002)

Logo: On a black background, the camera spins as we can see three metal rectangles with "EFX" in a futuristic font, but outlined. Several pieces of "EFX" are seen flying each other and putting themselves to form the logo. "Magic in Motion" and "Special Effects" fade in a blur effect.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The synth whoosh, which abruptly cuts to a sound being hitten, followed by a metal drop sound. Six arrow hits are heard as several pieces of "EFX" put themselves.

Availability: Seen on Grama Devathe and its Tamil dub as Angala Parameswari.
