Background

Tuvalu.TV News is the news program for Tuvalu.TV.

Intro (2020)

Visuals: Over a tinted close-up shot of the waving Tuvalu flag with tiny particles falling, a white sphere appears forming before it transitions into a globe over it. A white circle then fades in while zooming out, before zooming in to reveal the footages as follow:

  • A shot of various people dancing (fatele, a traditional dance-song from Tuvalu).
  • An airplane flying through the sky.
  • A person riding a bike with another person with a building behind.
  • A shot of another building with flags waving in front of it.
  • A Chevrolet truck in Tuvalu's police livery driving to the right while being close to the camera.
  • A shot of several Tuvaluan women wearing red shirt and a flower crown on their heads.

A transparent blue rectangle then slides in to the right and reveals five footages:

  • A close-up of a car with a Tuvalu flag being hanged on the right of the car window.
  • A shot of four women.
  • A side view of a Tuvalu police cruiser.
  • Two cruise ships are sailing on the sea.
  • A shot of various people, with one of them carrying an umbrella.

".TV", with "N E W S" being inside of a red longer parallelogram zooms out quickly as the light shines behind it.

Technique: 2D computer editing with live-action clips.

Audio: "Broadcast News" from the iMovie library.
