Background: Telemicro is a TV channel operated by Grupo de Medios Telemicro. It was launched in 1986 as Canal 6 Circuito Independecia, an then being renamed in 1997 as Telemicro due to a telecommunciations law that limited the number of stations that can have a channel into 1. His owner it's one of the biggest in its country, by also owning an international station (Telemicro Internacional), and HD station, two more channels (Telecentro and Digital Quince), and app for IPhone and IPad, several radio stations, etc.
