Background

Severin Films is an American film production and distribution company known for restoring and releasing cult films on DVD and Blu-ray. It is considered a boutique Blu-ray and DVD label.

1st Logo (2006-2011?)

Visuals: The sequence starts with a black and white scene from a movie, which shows a female hand reaching toward and rubbing the stomach of a lingerie-clad woman, who is only seen from the waist down with a gold necklace around her torso. It then fades to a grainy black and white background. On the background, the word "SEVERIN" with the upper half of a woman's head (which looks like Bettie Page) above it. It is shown at an angle. The URL "www.severin-films.com" fades in on the bottom right of the logo.

Variant: A still version without the URL exists.

Technique: A mix of live-action and 2D computer animation.

Audio: A slow-paced guitar tune.

Availability: Seen on DVDs of old exploitation films released by the company.

2nd Logo (February 27, 2010-2021?)

Visuals: On a grainy black and white background, there is a close of a woman's eyes. It then zooms out to reveal the Severin logo (from before). The URL "www.severin-films.com" (in a different font) fades in on the bottom right of the logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on Birdemic: Shock and Terror and BMX Bandits.

3rd Logo (March 30, 2021-)

Visuals: Unknown.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Same as the last two logos, albeit the wind sounds are heard.

Availability: Seen on current Severin releases, such as Perdita Durango.
