Background

Russian World Studios was founded in 1998 by Yuri Sapronov and Andrei Smirnov, and is one of the largest film and television production companies in the Russian market. They seemingly didn't use a logo before 2006.

1st Logo (2006-2011)

Logo: The logo opens with a blue haze above the horizon with fireflies flying about (a la the 2004 Gaumont logo), wiping in, then from behind, the metallic blue "RWS" in the fancy sans-serif font, flies in one-by-one, while the light appears and moves along the horizon to the left. When it's almost finished, the company name, with teal lights passing-by, fades in below, and two sky blue streaks wipes in, sandwiching "RWS" and the company name and clearing fireflies in the process, then "ПРЕДСТАВЛЯЕТ" ("Presents" in Russian) in all caps fade in below the bottom streak.

Variants: The "presents" disclaimer can be omitted. Since 2009, the name is written in Russian, and the logo itself is slightly redesigned.

FX/SFX: The animation seems state-of-the-art.

Music/Sounds: A synth tune, reminiscent of the Windows 98 startup sound.

Availability: Common in Russia, where it's seen on a lot of TV series.

2nd Logo (2012-)

Logo: TBA

FX/SFX: A cross of live-action and CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare.

Availability: Common on Russian TV channels and can be found on the RWS website.
