Background

Don Meier, having produced and directed Zoo Parade for NBC from 1950 to 1955, formed his own company to produce educational and entertaining programmes for family viewing. Don Meier Productions produced Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, Watch Mr. Wizard and the occasional film.

(January 6, 1963–1988)

Logo: The company's initials, rendered in a stylized typeface, appear on the screen linked together with the legend "A DON MEIER PRODUCTION" beneath it.

Variant: An earlier version of the logo has the initials in a different, stylized typeface with the "M" inverted and most of the "d" and "P"'s holes being filled.

FX/SFX: The logo zooming out and the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: Incidental music from the ending theme (in this case, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom).

Availability: Rare, seen on the original Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom series.
