1st Logo (1977-1980s)

Logo: On a starry background, we see the first part of the diamond from the first logo (this time in blue) appearing in from the far left and travelling to the top of the screen. The 2nd part of the diamond appears from the far right, and places itself below the small diamond. The third part of the diamond rises up from the bottom and and places itself at the bottom part, completing the blue diamond. The logo rises and shrinks a bit, creating space for the word "DOMOVIDEO" in white fading in. Soon, the word "presenta" appears below the company name, which is also in white.

FX/SFX: The starfield, the parts of the diamond and the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: A rising UFO-like sounder ("Close Encounters of the Third Kind" by Isao Tomita).

2nd Logo (1980s-1990s)

Nickname: "Close Encounters of the Domovideo Kind"

Logo: After the warning screen disappears via diamond effect, a black diamond made of 3 pieces on a white background zooms in and flashes blue. "DOMOVIDEO" zooms in and the diamond flashes light blue. "Volani Comunicazione" fades in and the diamond flashes green. The text wipes away and the text "Ha scelto per voi" is wiped in red and the diamond flashes red.

FX/SFX: The diamond and flashes.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo.

Music/Sounds Variant: Sometimes, the music fades out early.

Availability: Very rare. Seen on Italian VHS releases from this company.
