1st Logo (1998-2001)

Visuals: In a space environment, there is a planet moving from the right of the screen to the left as the three gold/black letters "D" "V" and "D", stacked to the left, then words fade in to complete the words "DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC, LTD". We also see some shooting stars.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A mysterious synth ditty, followed by three synth whooshes ending with a synth drone.

Availability: Seen on many vintage adult releases, anime, and cartoon TV movies starting in the late 1990's, such as the Django Studios adaptation of The Legend of Mulan.

2nd Logo (1999-2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, we see the same letters from before, placing each letters on stack with D first. Then, three DVDs appear with fire on their tail, revealing the words "IGITAL", "ERSATILE", and "ISC, LTD." in blue. After the logo is complete, "VERSATILE" shines.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A different synth ditty with clangs and whirrs when the letters and DVDs appear.

Availability: Seen on cartoon TV movies and the "Manga Video UK" version of Odin (UK dub only).
